Tennessee football vs. Georgia: 5 Bulldogs to watch for against Vols
No.4 – Mecole Hardman, Wide Receiver
The former defensive back is making a home for himself at the wide receiver position. In the blink of an eye, Hardman can make a defense look silly.
So far this season, Hardman leads the Bulldogs in receptions with 14 and 247 receiving yards. Oh and he leads Georgia in touchdowns with four in the first four games.
Hardman is their big-play threat. Other than the Middle Tennessee State game, he has a long reception for at least 40 yards. In the Austin Peay game Hardman had a reception for 59 yards, and against Missouri, he had a long of 54.
Pretty impressive stats so far for the season and against a young Tennessee secondary, Hardman should easily be able to sneak behind the safeties for a deep ball or two,
He also is dangerous on punt and kickoff returns. He has had four punt returns for 118 yards with a 29.5 average and one touchdown.
Hardman is the type of player that could catch a touchdown pass, return a punt, and a kickoff for a touchdown in the same game. He’s that dynamic. Vols need to be careful to slow him down and make Georiga use their running game to win. But, even that is scary.
