Tennessee football’s loss to the Georgia Bulldogs revealed many things heading into the bye week. Here is the stock report for the Volunteers five weeks in.

There were a lot of positives for many Tennessee football fans after a third straight 26-point loss to a Power Five program on Saturday. Sure, it was ugly, but the Vols did cut the game to two scores in the fourth quarter before many of their issues became too much to overcome.

And let’s be clear, this was the toughest team they had faced on the season. As a result, even in such a hideous loss, Jeremy Pruitt and co. had a little bit more to be happy about following the game. Heading into the bye week, however, there are some clear units that get a bit more praise than others.

Tennessee football’s loss to Georgia continued to reveal things about the Vols. And the trends continue to show, but this time they showed without the numerous fluke turnovers that were factors in the loss to their Florida Gators.

Instead, this game had a bunch of should-have-been turnovers by Georgia, as they had four fumbles and recovered all four, including one that they took to the house for a touchdown. So in that regard, there weren’t fluke turnovers this time, but there were lots of fluke bounces by the ball.

As we get set to bring you our stock report for the Vols following Saturday’s loss, it’s important to note that what caused those turnovers will be a factor in whom we’re high on right now. And while it’ll be about one individual to many, we have a focus on numerous people.

Meanwhile, those bad breaks weren’t enough to mask some of the huge problems facing the program right now. So let’s go ahead and break everything down. This is the Tennessee football stock report following the Vols’ 38-12 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.
