The Arkansas Razorbacks could easily be below Tennessee football right now. After all, they have multiple bad non-conference losses and are 1-5 despite actually playing an easier schedule. However, unlike the Vols, they have actually been in a game with a team that is not terrible.

Losing to the Texas A&M Aggies by only a touchdown is enough for us to keep them only next to last in our SEC Power Rankings for now. You can say it’s a rivalry game, but so is Tennessee-Florida technically, and the Gators won by 26 points.

So for now, Chad Morris’s Hogs are ahead of the Vols. And believe it or not, there are more positives coming out of this week. Arkansas was able to score 31 on the Alabama Crimson Tide. Sure, they lost 65-31.

But that was against what may be the best team ever with the best quarterback in the nation. And they forced Alabama to play hard way later into the game because they were able to score. So maybe this offense is finally taking off after doing that and playing A&M close. We’ll find out this week, as they host the Ole Miss Rebels. This game could define if they have truly arrived.
