Alabama week is here, and we have the Friday Vols mailbag. Would you rather have a basketball Final Four or football SEC Championship?

It’s Friday, and that means we have some mailbag questions for all you great and fantastic people. Not to mention it’s a massive week for the Tennessee football team coming off their upset win against a ranked Auburn team.

The Vols host the number one ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, and it’s Jeremy Pruitt’s first attempt on being his older boss, Nick Saban.

On to the mailbag, but first, we know you all have questions, thoughts, and comments. You’re welcome to send them to b.williford14@gmail.com any day during the week to be answered in the Friday mailbag.

Bob Y writes…Look I love Tennessee football more than anyone. I want to beat Alabama so bad it’s not even funny. My question is what would you give up for the Vols to pull the upset?

I love the Vols. I grew up glued to the television when Peyton Manning was doing his thing. Now that I’m approaching 30 years old, I feel like I find myself running out of time, but I still catch every game and root hard for our Vols. However, maybe I don’t love them as much as you Bob.

I’m not too sure I would give up much of anything for the Vols to win one game. Beating Alabama this week won’t do much for the rest of the season. There isn’t a chance for Tennessee to make the College Football Playoffs.

Now, would I give up things for an undefeated season? Sure, I would. I could easily give up watching or going to the games for a National Championship. I would take one for Volnation and listen to Bob Kesling all season for a National Championship.

Jake T writes…I’m playing to the lottery and if I win I’ll give one hundred million dollars to the University of Tennessee Athletics Program. Do you think that would finally turn things around?

Jake, you’re a better man than me. There is no way I would give one hundred million dollars to the Tennessee Athletics Program. That is just too much money. Plus, why donate that much? I’m entirely convinced Jeremy Pruitt is the man for the job, and he will make Tennessee great again, there is no doubt about it.

Tom K writes…I love both Tennessee football and basketball, but I would much rather see an SEC Championship win rather than a Final Four. Since the basketball team has a chance at a Final Four this season, which would you prefer?

Since 1992, the Vols have made it to Atlanta five times to play for an SEC Championship. It’s been over ten seasons since Tennessee has been to Atlanta and Vol fans are dying to get back.

On the other hand, the basketball team has never been to a Final Four. So if you’re asking me, I would rather see a Final Four. I think Jeremy Pruitt coaches longer than Rick Barnes and I think it is easier to make it to Atlanta than a Final Four.
