The Tennessee football team continues their tough stretch as they head to Columbia, SC to take on the Gamecocks. Here are four bold predictions for the game.

The game against the Gamecocks couldn’t come at a worse time for Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee football team. They are coming off a loss to Alabama, which isn’t surprising, we all knew it was coming. However, what makes it tough is South Carolina is coming off a bye week, and the Vols have to travel.

Pair that with the news that offensive linemen Trey Smith is out for the remainder of the season and the Vols have an uphill battle. And, I haven’t even mentioned anything about the quarterbacks. Who knows if Jarrett Guarantano will be ready to play and if he isn’t can Keller Chryst make the most of his opportunity?

It goes without saying, but from all of us at the FanSided network, we hope Trey all the best on getting healthy. In the grand scheme of life, football isn’t that important. The young man has his whole life ahead of him, and his health comes first.

Like always, in this post, we are going to give our four bold predictions for the game. If you were paying attention to our bold predictions from last week, we went -or I should say I went- 0-for-4. However, I was close, on some.

1. “Alabama will only win by ten points.” Okay, I wasn’t close at all.

2. “Tua will throw his first interception of the season.” He most definitely should have.

3. “Ty Chandler will lead both teams in rushing.” Vols couldn’t run the ball period, but Chandler did play a good game.

4. “Jauan Jennings will score two touchdowns.” Again, not quite, but Jennings played one heck of a game.

This week is different, and we are feeling pretty good about some of this predictions. Let’s dive in.
