Tennessee football weather report: Near perfect conditions
The conditions will be close to perfect when the Tennessee football team heads to Columbia, South Carolina. Here is the weather report for the Vols vs. Gamecocks on Saturday night.
In recent years this has been one of Tennessee football’s closest rivalry game. Since 2012 the largest margin of victory was six points in 2017 when South Carolina won 15-9. The other five games in that time span have been decided by three points or less. In 2014 the game went into overtime where the Vols ended up winning 45-42.
The weather should be great and have zero impact on the game. Take a look at the projected forecast below.
3:00 pm – 65 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 13 mph.
4:00 pm – 65 degrees with mostly cloudy skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 13 mph
5:00 pm – 65 degrees with cloudy skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 13 mph.
6:00 pm – 64 degrees with cloudy skies and a 15 percent chance of rain. W 11 mph.

8:00 pm – 60 degrees with partly cloudy skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 9 mph.
9:00 pm – 58 degrees with clear skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 9 mph.
10:00 pm – 57 degrees with clear skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 8 mph.
11:00 pm – 56 degrees with clear skies and a 0 percent chance of rain. W 8 mph.
The recent years this game was always the first “cold” game of the year. There always was a cold front move in but not this year. High 50’s are more than doable if you are going to the game.
The only thing for the coaches and players to worry about is the double-digit miles per hour wind that may stick around for the game. It appears it will start to fade away throughout the game, but it could have an early impacted on the kicking game.
