The 2018-19 Tennessee basketball season should be one of the most entertaining seasons in recent years. Here are the most important games on the schedule.

Jeremy Pruitt and the Tennessee football team is coming off the biggest wins in two seasons, and yet we are still talking about basketball. The football team has a chance at winning seven or eight games in year one, and yet basketball is on the mind of a lot of Vol fans. It just goes to show how Rick Barnes has changed the culture of the program.

Expectations are high for the basketball program and rightfully so. Look I don’t want to get people’s hopes up, but Tennessee should be one of the best teams in the nation. The Vols will have the opportunity to prove their one of the best with a schedule as hard as it gets.

That’s one of the things you have to love about Rick Barne, he believes in playing a tough schedule to get his team ready for the big dance. Does it always pay off? No, but why not play a tough schedule? It makes for great regular season hype.

Obviously, basketball is a tad different with the amount of game played. So, dropping a few isn’t a huge deal. However, there are a few important games on the 2018-19 schedule the Vols need to win.

In this post, we will break down the top ten most important games of the season. Some of the games fall in tough stretches; others are big-time national title contending games. And, of course, Kentucky will also make any list especially with what happened last season between the two teams.
