All aspects of Tennessee football’s running game are tanking in the Volunteers’ stock report following their 14-3 win over the Charlotte 49ers.

If there’s a recession on Rocky Top, it’s safe to say Tennessee football clearly hasn’t climbed out of it yet. A hideously ugly win over the Charlotte 49ers last weekend brought a ton of negatives to the table for the Vols.

Now, heading into their final November stretch run, they have to address those negatives to have any outside chance at reaching postseason play. The good news is that there are some positives UT can emphasize as well.

Our Tennessee football stock report following the Vols’ fourth win on the season and their second best win overall reflects all of these things. The negatives are magnified in an alarming way, but it could just be a temporary quirk.

Previous bits of evidence show that this doesn’t have to be a trend. As a result, Jeremy Pruitt needs to focus on shoring up what we’re talking about. It’s pretty clear more than ever that some units were just out of synch on Saturday, but now they have to prove it in a much tougher environment.

To give fans a boost, we’ll be starting with the stocks that are still looking positive, as always. And believe it or not, there are some significant positives for the Vols based on what happened last weekend. There are also stocks that are down but should improve.

However, the parts of the team that are down are significantly down, and other parts could look worse than they even looked over the weekend. So it’s not all good or bad news for a 4-5 team trying to make a bowl game with a first-year head coach.

Let’s go ahead and break down where all of it is. And let’s see where the issues could be as SEC play gets set to resume. This is how Tennessee football’s stocks shape out following their 14-3 win over the Charlotte 49ers in Week 10.
