Jalen Johnson – Have a significant impact

I know this isn’t the best goal. It’s kind of boring, but we just don’t know what to expect from Jalen Johnson. He didn’t play much last season only averaging five minutes per game. The most points he scored last season was six against Ole Miss.

  • James Daniel III is no longer with the basketball program. The Vols’ are thin at the guard position, and that should mean more time for Johnson.

But, what can he do? What is reasonable to expect from the redshirt sophomore?

We didn’t get to see a lot from him last year, and he was fighting an injury, so he sit out the first game of the season.

Like Pons, Johnson is extremely athletic and long. He could do a lot of damage on the defensive side of the ball.

I don’t think it’s too much to see Johnson score around five points per game with a couple of assists.

It all really depends on his playing time and how much he has improved. The thing about Johnson is he has the NBA frame and athletism; the questions is, when is he going to tap into that potential?
