They’re still the worst team in the league, and it was pretty easy for us to put them at the bottom of our SEC Power Rankings. However, the Arkansas Razorbacks, at least the first week out of their bye, showed the positives we said they need to show.

It was in a bizarre way, as the LSU Tigers could have covered their 13 and a half point spread late with a change in strategy deep in Hogs territory. But they made the right decision to run out the clock at that point.

Before then, Chad Morris’s team showed a very impressive fourth quarter to make this a game. They were down 24-3 and didn’t quit fighting, which bodes well for this team’s future. The spread is slightly coming together, and that was an elite defense to throw for 200 yards on. Now, though, they have to continue their fight.

As we said, this season is a complete loss no matter what. It’s all about how they look to close out the year, and they face two very good teams in the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Missouri Tigers. Both games are on the road and almost sure losses, but if Arkansas can put up a fight, they’ll have something to build towards going into next season.
