Coming in at number four on our list is back up running back Damarea Crockett. It’s hard to label him as the “back up” because he has accounted for the most carries on the team.

We are starting to see this more often. Teams are going to more of a running back by committee to get the job done, and it’s working for the Tigers.

  • On the season, Crockett has ran the ball 144 times for 699 yards. He’s also scored seven touchdowns which is five more than last season.

Crockett is a highlight waiting to happen. He won’t necessarily run you over, but he is a hard player to bring to the ground.

And in the open field, he has the elusiveness to make people miss.

His best game of the season came against South Carolina where he rushed for 154 yards on 20 carries and had one touchdown.

He had a long rush for 59 yards but was averaging 7.7 yards per carry which is impressive.

Tennessee was able to hold Benny Snell to a mediocre game and should be able to do the same against Missouri.

However, Kentucky’s passing attack is horrible, and the Tigers have Drew Lock. That offensive balance will be hard to beat especally if Crockett has a big game.
