Tennessee football’s home game against the Missouri Tigers lead our Volunteers, Southeastern Conference and Top 25 predictions for Week 12 of 2018.

There’s some newfound momentum on Rocky Top after Tennessee football scored a huge win over the Kentucky Wildcats. The Vols hope to continue that streak this week against the Missouri Tigers on Saturday.

However, our predictions need to find some momentum like what Jeremy Pruitt’s team was able to get last weekend. They’ve been mediocre for a while, now. Here’s a look at how we all did last week in our picks.

Week 11 record (Record on gambling picks are tiebreakers)

Billy Williford: 18-9 overall

8-1 straight-up; 10-8 gambling (5-4 ATS; 5-4 O/U)

Caleb Calhoun: 17-10 overall

8-1 straight-up; 9-9 gambling (4-5 ATS; 5-4 O/U)

Garrett Sanders: 14-13 overall

6-3 straight-up; 8-10 gambling (3-6 ATS; 5-4 O/U)

Record on unanimous gambling picks: 3-3

We were better than average this year on our unanimous picks, but that only was by being .500. Meanwhile, as a whole we were a cumulative .500 with our gambling picks. It was a very mediocre weekend in that regard. But here’s where we stand overall, now.

Overall standings

Caleb Calhoun: 192-129 overall

89-26 straight-up; 103-103 gambling (48-55 ATS; 55-48 O/U)

Billy Williford: 192-129 overall

91-24 straight-up; 101-105 gambling (47-56 ATS; 54-49 O/U)

Garrett Sanders: 14-13 overall

83-32 straight-up; 104-102 gambling (53-50 ATS; 51-52 O/U)

Record on unanimous gambling picks: 39-41

So one of us is .500 on gambling picks, one is two games over, and one is four games under. But we all would have lost you money this year if you took our picks to heart. So with two weeks left in the regular season, it’s time to turn things around.

The good news is that these final two weeks give us lots of games to predict. Tennessee football’s games are one thing. But lots of SEC teams play non-conference games, and there are plenty of non-conference Top 25 games  to get psyched about.

This weekend, the Vols are in one of only three games featuring two SEC teams. But all SEC teams are playing. Meanwhile, there are also three games featuring two non-conference Top 25 teams, including one between two Group of Five teams.

That makes for 14 games we are picking overall. However, there are three games featuring teams against FCS schools. So in reality, we only have 11 games for gambling picks. So let’s get started. These are our Week 12 Tennessee football, SEC and Top 25 predictions.
