Tennessee Vols football head coach Jeremy Pruitt previewing the Missouri Tigers Wednesday leads our Volunteers news for Thursday, Nov. 15, 2018.

Winter is coming! That’s what today’s weather looks like for much of the eastern half of the United States. However, for the Tennessee Vols, things have not looked this bright in a long time, and there’s an expectation for that to continue.

Our morning updates on Rocky Top deal with looking ahead and a quick recap. It starts with bringing up comments Jeremy Pruitt made in his usual Wednesday press conference, but we also have Lady Vols coverage to bring you.

There are two recaps from different Lady Vols sports to cover, one obviously more prominent than the other. Both were very good news. But let’s start with the football news and what Pruitt talked about on Wednesday.

Tennessee Vols football head coach Jeremy Pruitt looked ahead to the Missouri Tigers in a press conference Wednesday after practice. During the press conference, he talked about implementing Phillip Fulmer’s idea to use younger players a bit later in practice, noted that Bryce Thompson and Trevon Flowers are both expected to play Saturday, and praised the leadership of his seniors and development of his staff. Here’s a snippet of what he said.

"“You know I just talked to our team about it, we have 13 seniors on our team that have really since we’ve been here have tried to do. A lot of them have sacrificed, they’ve moved around different positions. But they’ve really bought into the team. I think they represent what the University of Tennessee is all about.”"
