The Tennessee football team drops to 5-6 on the season with the 50-17 loss to Missouri. Here is the photo gallery from the Vols and Tigers.

Jeremy Pruitt and Butch Jones have something in common after Missouri walked out of Neyland Stadium with a 50-17 over the Vols. The Tigers dropped 50 points on the Vols in back-to-back seasons which rarely happens to Tennessee. Actually, maybe it’s never happened until Missouri.

I went all the way back to the days of J.A. Pierce, and there hasn’t been another example of a team scoring 50 on the Vols in back-to-back seasons. Alabama has a chance to do it next season after their 58-21 win. There were a couple of teams to drop at least 40 points in back-to-back seasons, but never 50 points.

Even with the blowout loss, there are so good pictures in this week’s photo gallery. We start with former Vols’ head coach Derek Dooley repping the black and gold.

Missouri’s offensive coordinator Derek Dooley came back to Knoxville for the first time since his firing. With the Vols, Dooley had an overall record of 15-21 and only had four conference wins in 23 games.

The second picture shows DeMarkus Acy giving Marquez Callaway a pat on the head for the catch he was about to make. Callaway finished the game with two receptions for 98 yards.

There is a picture in the gallery of Vols’ running back Ty Chandler breaking a tackle. Tennessee’s offense performed poorly, but Chandler did finish the game with 82 rushing yards and added two touchdowns. The 82 rushing yards was good enough for his third best performance of the season.

Backup quarterback Keller Chryst makes the gallery as he was getting pressure Tre Williams. Chryst didn’t play well at all, and one of his interceptions really changed the flow of the game.

There is only one game left in the season as the Vols travel to Nashville to take on the Commodores. Win and Jeremy Pruitt and Tennessee will reach six wins and have a chance for seven in a bowl game.
