Unanimous gambling picks

Mississippi State -10.5 at Ole Miss

If the Mississippi State Bulldogs can blow out the Arkansas Razorbacks the way they did, they should easily be able to handle an Ole Miss Rebels team that just lost to the Vanderbilt Commodores. That they lost in overtime and have a quick turnaround Thursday gives MSU an even bigger advantage. So we all have a blowout coming here.

Missouri -23 vs. Arkansas

The Arkansas Razorbacks get blown out by teams who have perfected high-powered offenses against mediocre defenses. That’s exactly who the Missouri Tigers are, coming off a 50-17 win over Tennessee football. So we all have them winning another blowout.

West Virginia +2.5 vs. Oklahoma, the Over 83.5

The West Virginia Mountaineers on a Friday night in Morgantown are almost impossible to pick against. So this was an easy gamble with the Oklahoma Sooners as the favorite. Add in the two offenses and lack of defense on both sides, and we may have taken the over if it was set at 100.

Florida -5.5 at Florida State

No reason for us to bet against the Florida Gators right now with Dan Mullen’s offense rolling. Meanwhile, the Florida State Seminoles were blown out by three straight ranked teams before beating a fraudulent Boston College Eagles team. So there’s every reason to believe in the Gators to win easily.

Michigan at Ohio State, the Under 57

We all have the Michigan Wolverines winning, even if we disagree on the spread (one of us has them missing by half a point). If they win, they’ll have slowed the game down. So naturally, that would make it hit the under.

dark. Next. 5 Vols to watch for at Vanderbilt

Alabama -24.5 vs. Auburn, the Over 52.5

Seriously, does anybody expect the Auburn Tigers to give the Alabama Crimson Tide a game? Of course not. Add in Nick Saban’s anger after last week and that high-powered offense, and Alabama may cover and hit the over by themselves.

Kentucky -17 at Louisville

There’s no reason to believe that the Louisville Cardinals can make this interesting, even in a rivalry game. Even after looking ugly for three straight weeks, the Kentucky Wildcats could sleepwalk to a 17-point victory here. So this was an easy cover.

LSU at Texas A&M, the Under 48

We disagree on the outcome of the game, especially with the Texas A&M Aggies being the favorites. But with the LSU Tigers’ defense frustrating offenses and their own offense being mediocre, this under call was easy.

Utah State at Boise State, the Over 67.5

I’m not sure if this was the right call or if we all made it because we expect those ranked Group of Five teams out west to score lots of points. Either way, this could be an exciting late night game Saturday with a basketball score. It may be just what we’re hoping for.

Tennessee +3.5 at Vanderbilt, the Under 50.5

We don’t all agree on Tennessee football winning the game. But it’s hard for us to take the Vanderbilt Commodores covering a spread that’s more than a field goal, even if it is in Nashville. And with the mediocrity of both teams, there is plenty of reason for us all to take the under in this game. So watch out for what happens.
