The No. 20/17 ranked Tennessee Lady Vols travel to Tuscaloosa to face the Alabama Crimson Tide Thursday. Here is our women’s basketball Volunteers preview.

As the criticism for Holly Warlick mounts again, the Tennessee Lady Vols will be looking to shake a three-game losing streak and a four-game losing streak to a specific team Thursday night. And it will be on the road.

Ranked No. 20 in the AP Poll and No. 17 in the Coaches Poll with their 12-4 overall record and 1-3 SEC record, Tennessee travels to Tuscaloosa to take on the Alabama Crimson Tide, who are 9-8 and also 1-3 in the SEC. You would think this is a game they can win, as Alabama is also on a three-game winning streak.

However, after losing to the Georgia Bulldogs on Sunday, the potential of this team is now highly questionable. Here is all the information you need for tonight’s game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

No. 20 Tennessee Lady Volunteers at Alabama Crimson Tide

When: Thursday, Jan. 17 at 9 p.m. E.T.

Where: Coleman Coliseum, Tuscaloosa, Ala.

TV: SEC Network

Live Stream: WatchESPN

After facing Alabama, the Tennessee Lady Vols return to Knoxville for a four-game home stand. Three of those games are against the Arkansas Razorbacks, LSU Tigers and Florida Gators, two mediocre SEC teams and one terrible SEC team. That should make for three easy wins.

Then there’s the big opportunity next Thursday against the No. 1 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish, also at home. The way they’ve played recently, you should expect Rocky Top to get blown out. But if they can somehow pull things together, that would be a huge win.

Before any of that, though, they have to just win a game. And that’s where this one comes in. Tennessee has three road wins on the season over the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and Auburn Tigers. So they’re capable of doing so. But they have to get out of this major slump.
