The Tennessee basketball team is still widely looked upon as one of the best teams in the nation and continue to hold on to a No.1 seed in the latest bracketology.

After another perfect week for the Tennessee basketball team, experts still project them as a number one seed in the NCAA Tournament.

The Vols added two more wins since the last bracketology which included Vanderbilt and West Virginia. It’s clear, the race to number one seeds is going to be a tightly-contested, so Tennessee has no other choice but to win.

As always we want to keep you up to date with all the latest bracketology, and we begin with ESPN’s Joe Lunardi’s projections which were updated January 29, 2019. You can find the entire bracket projection here.

Joe Lunardi

Nothing has changed in the top line for Joe Lunardi. He still has Tennessee, Duke, Virginia, and Michigan State as the one seeds. The Vols are at the top of the Midwest region, here is a look at how the Midwest breaks down.

Lunardi has a total of seven SEC schools receiving a bid who include; Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Alabama.

CBS Sport’s Jerry Palm’s latest update was January 28, 2019. You can find the entire bracket projection here.

Jerry Palm

Like Lunardi, Palm kept the same top four as he projected last week which include Tennessee, Virginia, Duke, and Michigan. Tennessee draws the top spot in the South region, here is a look at that entire region.

Believe it or not, Palm has the same seven SEC school projected in the tournament. The most surprising is the Auburn Tigers as a 10 seed.

Finally, we wanted to provide you with one more projection even though Daniel Wilco from NCAA.com. He has the Volunteers as a No.1 seed just like Lunardi and Palm. His bracket was last updated on January 28, 2019, and you can find the entire bracket projection here.

Daniel Wilco

Wilco has the same top line as Joe Lunardi with Virginia, Michigan State, Duke, and Tennessee. Here is a look at how he projects the Midwest region.

Wilco also has the same seven teams from the SEC in the big dance as Lunardi and Palm.

Looking at these brackets, I believe Tennessee has a clear path to the Sweet Sixteen. Sure, upsets happen, Vol fans know that too well from a season ago.

However, keeping North Carolina and Kansas in the lower half of the bracket is good news for the Vols. As it stands, in my opinion, Daniel Wilco’s projection gives Tennessee the best chance to make a deep run.
