Sticking with the offensive skill players, Alante Brown is a three-star athlete on Rivals generating interest from a lot of top schools. And yes, Tennessee football is one of those schools right now who could definitely use him.

Quick athletes at receiver are a huge need for Jeremy Pruitt and his offense right now, as the Vols only have big receivers who use their size to outmuscle defenders. Brown, out of Chicago, would be that type of athlete to bring more versatility to the offense, even more than Dywan Griffin.

One of those guys needs to commit to Rocky Top, and Brown would be the better pickup. Other schools targeting him include the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Iowa State Cyclones, Pittsburgh Panthers and the Florida State Seminoles.

Given his size at 5’10” and 170 pounds, he’s probably a better fit for what Kendal Briles and Willie Taggart want to do at Florida State. But Jim Chaney could find ways to use him as well, and he would be a great pickup. A top 30 player in the state of Illinois, the Vols could use him on trick running plays, in the slot, or on special teams.
