The win streak ends at 19 games as the Tennessee basketball team is coming off their first loss since November. Here is our weekly review.

Well, this is new.

Before Saturday night’s beatdown, the Tennessee basketball team’s last loss was way back in November. A healthy Kansas Jayhawks beat the Vols by six points in overtime with Grant Williams fouling out of the game.

Tennessee bounced back with 19 straight wins and most came by double digits. The streak included wins against Gonzaga, Memphis, Florida (twice), Alabama, and South Carolina (twice).

Now the Vols try to regroup and begin another streak to reach their ultimate goal of winning a National Championship. Don’t get it confused, Tennessee has just as much as a chance to win a title as any other team in the nation.

9 of the past 15 NCAA Tournament Champions had a loss by ten points or more. In fact, six teams had a loss by at least 15 points.

So, in the grand scheme of things, the 17 point loss to Kentucky means absolutely nothing.

In our weekly review, we cover how the Vols swept yet another conference foe. Just how bad Saturday’s loss was, but it was only one loss. We will also view the updated SEC standings, as the race to the top tightens up. Finally, we look ahead to the games against Vanderbilt and LSU.
