We’re back on the offensive line front, and we are back in the state of Tennessee. This time, we go to West Tennessee, specifically the Memphis area, where Jeremy Pruitt has secured a recruit on the offensive line for each of his first two classes.

In 2018, four-star Jerome Carvin committed out of Cordova. This past year, three-star Melvin McBride committed out of Memphis. Staying in Shelby County, Omari Thomas comes out of Eads but plays for Briarcrest in the city. That’s where Michael Oher came out of.

Tennessee football could use an elite talent like Thomas. A four-star from that area, Thomas already stands at 6’5″ 301 pounds. Provided he maintains his skills and develops, he could become a rare talent on the offensive line.

As a result, Thomas is a guy the Vols should be targeting with everything they have. He has a ton of potential to become an elite player, and as we have already said, Pruitt is going to need another great class up front next year to really get the rotation he wants. Securing a commitment from a guy like Thomas could go a long way towards doing that, so he definitely belongs on our list.
