No.1 – Tennessee would become one of three schools
With a national championship win, Tennessee would become one of only three schools to win a title in football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball. And, they would be the only school to accomplish such a feat in the modern age.
The other two schools that have won a national championship in the respective sports are Maryland and Stanford. Again, the Vols would be the only program to accomplish it in the modern age since Maryland won a football title in 1953 and Stanford’s were in the 1920s and ’40s.

Maryland
Football: 1953 – Basketball: 2002 – Women’s Basketball: 2006
Stanford

What an achievement it would be to say you are a fan of the only athletic program in the nation to win a national championship in football, men’s basketball, and women’s basketball in the modern age. Surely, that would quiet the national media.

But, it would also show Volnation that things could be worse. Yes, the football program hasn’t been great and yes Butch Jones as a loser. But, you could be the only fans in the nation to brag about this.
