  • It’s only fitting that the Vols were led by Schofield and Alexander in their last game at Thompson-Boling Arena. Not to mention it was a win that gave Tennessee an undefeated home record.

As you know Schofield is an emotional player and as the tears were flowing before the game, you had to know he was about to put on a show. Schofield led the Vols with 18 points on 7-for-13 from the floor, including 3-for-4 from the three-point line.

A lot of credit needs to go to Rick Barnes and Schofield for his development throughout his career. But, let’s not forget about Donnie Tyndall. Tyndall was the one that recruited Schofield in 2014 and so something in the three-star prospect that a lot of other teams did.

As great as Schofield was, Alexander was just as good. The big man gave meaningful minutes scoring six points and ripping down ten rebounds.

Alexander was Barnes’ third commitment but the first prospect to play all four seasons. Just like Schofield, Alexander has turned out to be a really good player and the Vols need him to play well for a deep run in March.
