Looking ahead – SEC Tournament

The regular season is over, and now the attention turns to the SEC Tournament which begins on Wednesday in Nashville, Tennessee. The Vols received the three seed and won’t start tournament play until Friday night against the winner of Vanderbilt/Texas A&M vs. Mississippi State.

The game against the Bulldogs, if they win, won’t be easy. The two teams just met on Senior Night, and the Vols won the game convincingly. And, that’s what should scare Volnation.

Remember last season? Tennessee and Mississippi State met in the second to last game of the season with the Vols winning by 22 points.

The two teams met on Friday of the SEC Tournament which turned out to be a three point game. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see something like that happen again.

If the top seeds win, Tennessee and Kentucky will meet in the Semifinals on Saturday. Big Blue nation usually travels well and would be a home game for Kentucky. It would be a difficult task for the Vols to make the Finals.
