The Tennessee basketball gets their postseason underway Friday night in the SEC Tournament. Here are four keys to make them successful.

The 2018-19 Tennessee basketball regular season is over, and now the Vols turn their attention to the SEC Tournament. After a disappointing end to the regular season which ended with three losses in their last seven games, can the Vols win their first SEC Tournament since 1979?

It will be a tough test. The SEC had another strong season with LSU winning the league with a 16-2 conference record despite cheating. The Wildcats and the Vols ended conference play 15-3 and received the three seed. It was one of the best seasons in program history, and they didn’t win the regular season and got a three seed. It’s remarkable the high level of play from the conference this season.

The three seed has had some decent success in the SEC tourney. Since 2012, the No.3 seed has won two championships. However, they have been bounced in their first game twice if Tennessee plays like Tennessee, they can easily win.

In this post, we are going to cover four keys for the Vols to have success in the SEC Tournament. The past has taught us if the Vols do these four things, they hardly ever lose. We begin with something I’ve been screaming all season long, get Grant Williams the ball more often.
