Tennessee basketball: A look at the Vols road to the Final Four
No.1 Virginia Cavaliers (29-3)
Charlottesville, VA – Atlantic Coast Conference
Head coach: Tony Bennett
The No.1 seed in the South Region is the Virginia Cavaliers and rightfully so. They had an outstanding year and only lost to Duke and Florida State all season long. I don’t know if the Cavaliers will make a run to the Elite 8, but I’m 100 percent sure they won’t lose in the First Round.
Best win
Virginia had a lot of good wins throughout the season. I think you could make the argument between a few teams like Virginia Tech, North Carolina, and Florida State.

Busting Brackets
However, I’m going with North Carolina because they are a No.1 seed and it was in Chapel Hill. The Cavs pulled out an eight-point win thanks to 20 points apiece from De’Andre Hunter and Kyle Guy.
Worst loss
Virginia doesn’t have a bad loss on the season. They lost to Duke twice by a total of 12 points, but if you want to get picky, I suppose you can say the loss to Florida State in the Semifinals of the ACC Tournament was the worst.
Longest streak
The Cavaliers started the season with a 16-game win streak that included wins over Wisconsin, Maryland, VCU, South Carolina, Florida State, and Virginia Tech.
What they do best
Can I say everything? The Cavaliers are legit.
They are efficient on both the offensive (2nd), and defensive (5th) ends of the court and shoot the three-ball at 40.9 percent which ranked 4th in the country.
