No.9 Oklahoma Sooners (19-13)
Norman, OK – Big 12 Conference
Head coach: Lon Kruger
An Elite 8 matchup with the Oklahoma Sooners would come if the Sooners could pull a few upsets. While this isn’t a prediction piece, I don’t see Oklahoma getting past Ole Miss and Virginia.
Best win
All things considered, the best win has to be against the Kansas Jayhawks even though they aren’t the same team Tennessee lost to earlier in the season. The Sooners also have wins against Wofford and Flordia in November.
Worst loss
The worst loss or losses came against the West Virginia Mountaineers. Typically you wouldn’t consider that a bad loss but the Mountaineers went 14-20 on the season. In the two losses, the Sooners lost by a combined nine points.
Longest streak
Oklahoma’s longest win streak came before the conference slate when the Sooners won seven games in a row with wins over Notre Dame and USC.
What they do best
Oklahoma is very good on the defensive end. They rank in the top-30 in adjusted defensive efficiency and hold opponents to 45 percent from inside the arc. They also hold opponents to 33.3 percent from the three-point line.
