No.6 Villanova Wildcats (25-9)

Villanova, PA – Big East Conference
Head coach: Jay Wright

Tennessee could play the defending Champs, Villanova Wildcats, in the Sweet 16. This could be a really scary matchup due to coaching experience and the Wildcats playing with nothing to lose.

Best win

Villanova’s best win came early in the season on November 23rd against Florida State. The Wildcats shot a horrible 21.4 percent from the three-point line and still won the game by six points. They were also able to turn the Seminoles over 16 times by giving up just seven assists.

Worst loss

Nova’s worst loss came to Penn or Georgetown. Honestly, the loss to Penn was random and early in the season. However, there was absolutely no excuse to drop the game against a 19-13 Hoyas team.

Longest streak

Another 25 win season for Jay Wright, which is remarkable considering all the talent he lost last season. The Wildcats reeled off 11 wins in a row from December 22nd through February 6th.

What they do best

Like most teams we have mentioned so far, the Wildcats are incredibly efficient on the offensive end with a KenPom ranking of 16th in the country.
