No.4 – Jarron Cumberland, Cincinnati

The Cincinnati Bearcats are riding a three-point win streak, and Jarron Cumberland is a big reason why.

The former four-star guard, Cumberland is the leader for the Bearcats scoring 18.8 points per game by shooting 40 percent from the field and the three-point line. He’s also shooting close to 80 percent from the free throw line.

In past three games in the American Athletic Conference, Cumberland averaged 23.3 points per game while being SMU, Wichita State, and Houston. Against the Cougars, Cumberland scored 33 points on 11-for-24 from the floor, including 1-for-7 from the three-point line.

He’s been one of the best players in the AAC with an offensive rating of 108.3 which was 24th in the conference. He also ranked 8th in the conference with a 27.9 assist rate.

Although he hasn’t made any 2019 NBA mock draft boards, the AAC player of the year has grown from the past season. Cumberland has improved his three-point percentage, free throw percentage, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks.

Cumberland could be the difference in Cincinnati making a deep run in the tournament which would mean a quick end of the season for Tennessee.
