No.4 – Better rotations

I’ve been on this for a while and obviously what Barnes is doing is working. The Vols have won 31 games this season with only five losses. However, you can always be better, right?

At times some of the players have looked a bit sluggish. Could it be all the minutes the main six guys are playing? Maybe, to be fair every team has players they play a lot of minutes. However, I genuinely believe Barnes could slip Yves Pons and John Fulkerson in the game at different times, and it would make more sense for the offense.

At one point during Iowa’s run on Sunday Pons, Fulkerson, and Kyle Alexander were in the game at the same time. Combined the trio is scoring around 12 points per game, and none of them can create their own shot.

Why are all three in the game at the same time? I’m not questioning them playing because Pons played outstanding defense in the first half against the Hawkeyes, and I think Fulkerson is playing some of the best ball of his career. But, please not at the same time.
