The Tennessee basketball team had an impressive year with many wins. Here are the top 5 from the season.

Where do you stand? Was the Tennessee basketball season a failure? If you think, so you’re simply wrong. Now, could it be viewed as a disappointment? Absolutely, I think that is fair to say considering the way the season ended.

The Vols won 31 games which tied a program record but don’t have anything to show for it. This team was ranked No.1 in the nation for over a month and again nothing to show for it. There is no SEC Regular Season or Tournament Championship banner. There is no Final Four banner going up in Thompson-Boling Arena, either. However, it doesn’t make the season a failure.

Taking a look back on the entire season there were some really great wins and we break down our top five in this post.

I’m not being negative, but a lot of the wins were against bottom feeders of the SEC and horrible teams in general. But, there were some wins against NCAA Tournament teams.

We begin our post with the beatdown against the Kentucky Wildcats in Thompson-Boling Arena. Everything about this game went the Vols way, and for Tennessee fans; there is nothing more beautiful.
