Tennessee basketball: 2018-19 Vols season by the numbers
No.4 – Wins/Losses by the numbers
2- losses by more than 15 points: There are two ways of looking at this number. The first one is with a positive spin. Tennessee only lost a total of two games by more than 15 points. In fact, the Vols only lost two games by more than seven points. However, the losses are 15 plus point beatdowns, which is never good.
3- overtime losses: Three of the six losses, half of them, came in overtime. To make matters worse, the Vols only lost those games by a combined 13 points.
11- game win streak to begin SEC play: Tennessee started SEC play 11-0 for the first time in program history.
19- game win streak: Tennessee put together a 19-game win streak that began on November 28 and lasted till the loss to Kentucky on February 16. Gonzaga, Memphis, Florida, and South Carolina were all wins during the streak.
23- double-digit victories: Tennessee played 36 games, and 23 of them ended in a victory by ten points or more.
31- wins: Winning 31 games in a season doesn’t happen every day. In fact, it has only happened one other time in Tennessee basketball history.
1,000,000- reasons: There were at least a million different reasons why this season was special. A million different reason why Volnation loved this team. And, a million different reasons why no one will ever forget about the 2018-19 season.
