No.7 – John Fulkerson

Most hustle

Okay, Fulkerson didn’t get the MVP, but he sure played with the energy that he wanted the award.

Maybe the easiest award to pass out is the most hustle award to John Fulkerson. Fulkerson is never going to be the most athletic player on the court. He’s never going to be the most talented either. But, what Fulkerson has on every other player in the nation is his hustle.

The moment Fulkerson checks into the game opposing players roll their eyes. They know how annoying Fulkerson is going to be on the defensive end. And, on the offensive end for that matter.

With all the energy, passion, and hustle Fulkerson plays with he is a stat sheet stuffer. In just 12 minutes of action, Fulkerson averaged 3.1 points per game with 2.6 rebounds. He also added nearly one assist and one block per game.

What’s interesting is per 40 minutes of action, Fulkerson is close to averaging a double-double. By those metrics, the energy guy would average 10.5 points per game while pulling down 8.8 rebounds.

If Fulkerson can continue to play with his effort and unmatchable passion while working on his offense game, he could be an unstoppable force next season. With the departure of Kyle Alexander and maybe Grant Williams, Fulkerson should be a huge part of the team next season.
