No.2 – Admiral Schofield

Most Clutch

Admiral Schofield has made a huge transformation since he first stepped on campus four seasons ago. This season Schofield was consistently the second best player on the team (sometimes the best) and the emotional leader for the Vols.

There were probably a million awards we could have given Schofield. Biggest spark would have been true because it seemed like he always got the crowd pumped up. The best poster would have worked too after the dunk he landed against Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament.

I don’t know how cool posters still are, as a kid, I had Vince Carter’s behind the legs from the 2000 NBA dunk contest on the wall. I’d say there are a lot of people that at least have Schofield’s dunk on the background of their phone.

But, the award we went with was most clutch. There are a handful of games that the Vols needed Schofield to seal the deal, and did he ever.

One that comes to mind is when Tennessee took down the then No.1 ranked Gonzaga Bulldogs. Schofield scored 30 points going a remarkable 6-for-10 from the three-point line. And, it was Schofield that hit the game-winning three.

A few other plays that come to mind was him taking the charge against Ole Miss in the final seconds or the three-point shot he hit in the corner against Florida. See, we could go on all day long, simply put, Schofield was clutch during his senior season.
