No.5 – Admiral’s dunk vs. Mississippi State

Where were you when Admiral Schofield made a “gif” with one of the best dunks I’ve ever seen on the college level. Yes, that even applies to any dunk that Zion Williamson threw down at Duke.

Frankly, this dunk came out of nowhere. The Vols were up 55-46 with just a couple of ticks over 10:00 minutes left in the game. Schofield received the ball at the top of the key and immediately started driving to the rack with his off hand. Usually, this is where Schofield would pull up and take the mid-range jumper he is so deadly at. But, not this time.

The senior forward was on a mission to get to the rim, and he wasn’t going to be stopped. After a step inside the SEC logo, Schofield takes off for the dunk of the year. And, he kept going, and going, and going. Truthfully, it looked like Michael Jordan’s dunk in Space Jam.

Schofield threw down a nasty dunk over a Mississippi State player. I jokingly said that the play would have been a great poster to put on the wall. That’s old school though; I know many people that turned the moment into a “gif” and a phone screen background.
