When you win 31 games, there isn’t much to worry about. However, the postseason wasn’t a success, so with that, we have five things for Tennessee basketball to address.

This was the year. This was the year the Tennessee basketball team was going to prove to the nation they were for real. They did for a few weeks during the season as the number one team in the country. But, then came the tough test.

The final seven games of the season were maybe the toughest seven-game stretch of any team in the nation. Instead of playing like the number one team in the land, Tennessee stumbled and fell flat on their face.

Excluding Vanderbilt, because they sucked, the Vols went 3-3 against Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Kentucky, Mississippi State, and Auburn. That’s not good.

Furthermore, when the season was on the line against Auburn, the Vols lost. When the SEC Tournament was on the line, the Vols lost. Moreover, when an Elite Eight berth was on the line, the Vols lost.

If Jordan Bone and Grant Williams come back to Tennessee next season, the Vols are right back as a team to watch. With a few more things to work on, they could just win a National Championship.
