The 2019 NFL Draft draws closer, and we have your coverage of former Tennessee football players and landing potential landing spots. Here are the five best landing spots for Kyle Phillips.

Most agree that former Tennessee football player, Kyle Phillips, has the best shot at getting drafted in the 2019 NFL Draft. There is usually nothing good that comes from a 5-7 season but only having one player drafted from the University of Tennessee is baffling. It clearly shows how far the Tennessee football program has fallen, but you already know this.

The 2015 and 2016 NFL Drafts saw a combined zero players drafted from the Vols and it hasn’t been that much better the past two seasons. Six Vols were taken in the 2017 NFL Draft, and only three were selected last year.

Playing for Jeremy Pruitt was the best thing that could have happened for Phillips. He finished his best season with the Vols and showed out during the East-West Shrine Game this winter.

The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder and former five-star is projected as a hybrid defensive lineman. Phillips is quicker and more athletic than you might realize and could windup up being the biggest steal in the later rounds of the 2019 NFL Draft.

We begin our top five landing spots with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
