The Kansas City Chiefs come in as our number one landing spot for Kyle Phillips. They’ve already met with him and seem to be the perfect fit. The Chiefs offense was one of the best last season but the defense, well, it needs some work.

Kansas City ranked 31st in total defense a season ago. Only Cincinnati was worse. The Chiefs gave up 405.5 yards per game. The passing defense ranked 31st as well giving up 273 yards to opposing quarterbacks. The Chiefs also gave up 30 passing touchdowns.

The rushing defense was a bit better at 27th. Kansas City gave up a league worst 5.0 yards per attempt

What defensive ends are on the Chiefs roster?

Emmanual Ogbah (Oklahoma State) and Alex Okafor (Texas) are the two defensive ends listed on the Chiefs roster at the moment. Again, here is another team a little think at the position and could use a body like Kyle Phillips.

What picks do the Chiefs have?

Round 6: No. 201, No. 214

Round 7: No. 216 (from 49ers)

The Chiefs really need interior defensive line help along with pass rushers. Since the interior part of the line is a “bigger” need hopefully the needs for a pass rusher will fall to later rounds which is good for Phillips.
