No.4 – Cincinnati Bengals

AFC North: 4th

Record: 6-10

Maybe the worst team and defense on our list is the Cincinnati Bengals coming in at number four on our top five landing spots for Alexis Johnson.

What defensive tackles are on the Bengals roster?

The Cincinnati Bengals at this moment are returning all the contributors at defensive tackle they had last year: Geno Atkins (Georgia), Andrew Billings (Baylor), Ryan Glasgow (Michigan), Josh Tupou (Colorado) and Adolphus Washington (Ohio State).

Geno Atkins is clearly a star up front, but even with him, Cincinnati had one of the worst rush defenses last year and was in the bottom half in sacks. So they could definitely use help up at defensive tackle immediately, and a guy with Alexis Johnson’s size could take some pressure off Atkins.

What picks do the Bengals have?

Round 5: No.149

Round 6: No.183, No.198 (from Cowboys), No.210, No.211, No.213

Round 7: No.223

When you have seven NFL Draft picks in the final three rounds, you’ll be solely focused on filling needs with potential steals. Johnson could definitely be one of those steals, as the Bengals certainly need more production from their nose tackle position. That means plenty of opportunities for him to get a look.
