Sticking with the offensive line, K’Rojhn Calbert had the biggest win of the spring for Tennessee football at that position. As we said, Jeremy Pruitt and the coaching staff were looking for standout performers, and they could not stop mentioning Calbert’s name.

The 6’5″ 330-pound redshirt sophomore saw action in 10 games last year but never started. This offseason was his chance to take the next step, and the coaches were looking players who could do exactly that. After all, the historically bad offensive line was going to get better with new talent, yes, but also young players developing.

Nobody did that more than Calbert. He’s the one guy on the line who is a returning player, didn’t start last year, had a chance to prove something this spring and then uniquely stood out to the coaches. All of that makes him one of the biggest winners from spring practice. And he’s certainly the biggest winner on the offensive line.

Going forward, the Vols still have robust competition for their offensive line on the horizon, and the poor play in the spring game at that position will only increase that. However, Calbert still gets credit for his impressive play throughout the spring.
