The 2019 NFL Draft gets underway Thursday night. There might not be any Tennessee football players hear their name called but there could be invited to training camps.

The 2019 NFL Draft gets underway on Thursday night in Nashville, Tennessee. Will there be any former Tennessee football players hear their names called? Well, not on day one, and probably not on day two. But, there is always a chance.

However, there are a lot of Volunteers that should get an opportunity to play in the league whether it is Kyle Phillips getting drafted, Micah Abernathy going undrafted but signing with a team, or guys like Keller Chryst and Madre London receiving invites to camps.

There are a few former Vols who never heard their names called on draft days but have turned out to have decent NFL careers. Justin Coleman has bounced around the league but has developed into a solid starter.

Another player that should have been drafted was Ramon Foster who played on the offensive line from 2004-2008. He’s locked up a starting spot since the 2012 season.

There are a few players in this post that could end up being like Justin Coleman or Ramon Foster, but they need to find their spot in the right scheme to succeed.
