Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Round: 3 / Pick: 67. Alvin Kamara. 10. 2017 NFL Draft. player. 15

He’s only been in the NFL for two years and has already made the list. Alvin Kamara falling to the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft was mainly just a reflection of how bad Butch Jones was at using the right players.

Tennessee football had the most elite offensive weapon in the SEC in Kamara, and Jones would give him fewer than 15 touches a game. It was embarrassing for Jones, but Kamara still had 24 career touchdowns and nearly 2,000 yards from scrimmage during his two years on Rocky Top.

The New Orleans Saints took a chance on him, as a result. And it was a match made in heaven. Sean Payton and Drew Brees have always seen their offense at its best with a speedy back who is versatile, from Reggie Bush to Darren Sproles, and Kamara was that new guy.

Already, just two years in, he has mad two Pro Bowl appearances and was offensive rookie of the year in 2017. Kamara is generating headlines left and right, and in about three more years he’s likely to make the top 5 of this list. But for now, his youth has forced us to keep him down here at No. 10.
