No.6 – 2011 NFL Draft

Luke Stocker: Round 4 Pick 104

Tight end Luke Stocker was the first Tennessee Volunteer to be selected in the 2011 NFL Draft in the 4th round with the 104 pick. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made Stocker the fifth tight end off the board.

During his time with Tennessee football, Stocker improved each season. By his senior season, the 6-foot-5, 253 pounder accounted for 417 receiving yards on 39 receptions with two touchdowns.

Last season, Stocker played for the Tennessee Titans where he saw action in 16 games. He finished the season with 15 receptions on 21 targets for 165 yards and two touchdowns.

Denarius Moore: Round 5 Pick 148

It wasn’t until his senior year until Denarius Moore made a significant impact on the team. In 2010, he finished the season 19 yards shy from 1,000 receiving yards on 47 receptions. Moore also accounted for a career-high nine touchdowns with a 20.9 receiving average.

Moore was drafted in the fifth round to the Oakland Raiders where he played four seasons. His best season came in 2012 when you caught 51 passes for 741 yards with seven touchdowns.

The 2011 draft won’t go down as one of the best in the history of the program, but Stocker and Moore turned out alright.
