Tennessee football: Ranking every Vols NFL Draft class this decade

No.2 – 2010 NFL Draft

Eric Berry: Round 1 Pick 5

The great Eric Berry was the headline of the 2010 NFL Draft for the Vols. Berry went fifth overall to the Kansas City Chiefs with only Sam Bradford, Ndamukong Suh, Gerald McCoy, and Trent Williams being selected before.

Berry was unbelievable for Tennessee football. In three seasons, he accounted for 245 total tackles, including 17.5 for loss and three sacks. He also had 14 interceptions with three touchdowns.

Dan Williams: Round 1 Pick 26

Dan Williams was a three-star from Memphis, Tennessee. Despite being nationally ranked as the 356th player in the country, Williams was a first-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Williams played from 2010-2016 with Arizona and Oakland.

Montario Hardesty: Round 2 Pick 59

One of the most underrated running back in recent years, Montario Hardesty was selected in the second round as the 59th pick overall. Hardesty finished with 2,391 yards rushing with 26 touchdowns.

Jacques McClendon: Round 4 Pick 129

McClendon was a fourth-round pick and played five seasons with four different teams. His best season came in 2014 with the Jacksonville Jaguars where he played in 13 games.

Chris Scott: Round 5 Pick 151

Like McClendon, Scott’s NFL career ended earlier than he could have hope. the fifth-round draft pick played from 2011-2016. Scott was a former four-star recruit that was a consistent player for the Vols.

Jonathan Crompton: Round 5 Pick 168

The last Volunteer to get drafted in the 2010 NFL Draft was quarterback Jonathan Crompton. Crompton was a four-star recruit but never got going until his senior season when Lane Kiffin became the head coach.

In his senior season, Crompton threw for 2,800 yards on 224 attempts with a 27:13 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
