No.4 – Quart’e Sapp, Tennessee Titans

First up in our ranking is Quart’e Sapp. The former four-star recruit from Alpharetta, GA was ranked as a top-230 recruit in the nation, 14th outside linebacker, and the 23rd player from Georgia.

It was a bit surprising that Sapp entered his name in the draft. He was a redshirt junior but failed to play a full season during his tenure. Sapp only appeared in three games his first two seasons. In 2017, he did play in 11 games and accounted for 75 total tackles, including seven tackles for loss.

However, last season we didn’t see the same Sapp. The redshirt junior only had 29 total tackles with zero tackles for loss and zero sacks.

Sapp joins LaTroy Lewis in Nashville. At the moment, Lewis is second on the depth chart at the strongside linebacker position. Like Sapp, Lewis went undrafted, but has made his way onto an NFL roster.

The Titans run a 3-4 scheme which does help Sapp’s chances. However, I’m not sure he is going to be able to do enough to impress coaches. One more year in Jeremy Pruitt’s system would have significantly helped his chances of being drafted and to make a roster.
