The final Top247 rankings from 247Sports.com were released on Monday afternoon. Here is where the newest Vols ended up.

Each season 247Sports.com submit their final rankings of each college hoops recruiting class. On Monday afternoon the Top247 player rankings were released, and it was hit or miss for the Tennessee Basketball commits.

With the new rankings, the Vols are listed at 30th in the nation sandwiched between Syracuse (29) and DePaul (31). Furthermore, Tennessee ranks sixth in the SEC behind Kentucky, Georgia, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama. Keep in mind the Vols have been just as if not more successful the past two seasons as that list of teams.

Josiah-Jordan James is the leader of the 2019 class as a four-star/five-star guard according to different sites. In fact, the 247Sports Composite rankings still list James as a five-star. However, according to the Top247, James lost a star and dropped a couple of places in the overall rankings. Now, being ranked 28th in the nation is nothing to be made over, but somehow a five-star Volunteer managed to fall, right?

Three-stars Drew Pember and Davonte Gaine wind up in the top-175 nationally. Both guys are long and raw but could compete for playing time as soon as next season.

Finally, in the breaking news of Tuesday, three-star Olivier Robinson-Nkamhoua committed to the Vols. Robinson-Nkamhoua’s final ranking in the Top247 list is 153rd in the nation and the second highest from Maryland.

The 2019 class is the best Rick Barnes has put together since being the head man for the Volunteers and the highest-rated class since the 2010 season. Of course, that was the class that was ranked 12th in the nation thanks to Tobias Harris, Jordan McRae, and Trae Golden.

Next. 5 freshman and sophomore Vols who could join XFL. dark

In the end, rankings are rankings and not always the end all be all. The 2019 class could turn out to be the best in the history of the program; you just never know.
