We started in Florida and Georgia before moving to California. Now, though, we’re moving to Canada, where Tennessee football is oddly enough establishing a pipeline with Josh Palmer and recently graduated Jonathan Kongbo.

Palmer was the most improved offensive player for the Vols this past spring, and he already showed flashes of being very good last year. He finished the season with 23 receptions for 484 yards and two touchdowns, and he added five carries for 27 yards and a touchdown. So he can do a lot of things.

At 6’2″ 204 pounds, Palmer’s issue has consistently been having to learn new offensive systems since arriving on campus. That was naturally going to slow the development of a guy with very limited football experience and having it come from Canada. But Jim Chaney knows how to maximize wide receivers, and at least this is two years for Palmer in the pro style.

As a result, the junior wide receiver is now one of the top Vols from outside the state. He figures to be a starter among the main three receivers, and he could be a huge mismatch in the slot. With potential through the roof, watch out for what he does this year.
