We go back to the Georgia pipeline for our next receiver on the list. Marquez Callaway is more proven than Josh Palmer, and he was Tennessee football’s leading receiver last year with 37 receptions for 592 yards and two touchdowns.

Despite inconsistencies facing the offense the past two years, Callaway has shown that he is the best Vol on jump balls and at making plays with the ball in his hands. Now, the top receiver will still be the in-state prospect himself, Jauan Jennings. But Callaway will be right there, and Chaney is going to find ways to put the ball in his hands.

As a result, expect Callaway to be a major factor at wide out. Coming out of Warner Robins, Ga. in Houston County, he helps the Vols and Jeremy Pruitt continue that pipeline into the whole state, but he also adds a separate pipeline into the central part of the state.

Callaway is a standout star who is destined for a breakout year along with numerous weapons on the Vols’ offense if Chaney can get things clicking. That makes him one of the top 5 players on the team from outside the state. And he has an outside chance of being the top offensive skill playmaker, even if Jennings and other in-state talent Ty Chandler are the favorites to do that.
