KNOXVILLE, TN – NOVEMBER 10: Drew Richmond #51 of the Tennessee Volunteers gets yelled at by head coach Jeremy Pruitt of the Tennessee Volunteers during the first half of the game between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium on November 10, 2018, in Knoxville, Tennessee. No.4 – Different Culture

So long to the days of only practicing football twice a week. Or being more worried about wallpaper and new televisions. Jeremy Pruitt has his guys doing something football related twice a day. That’s at least ten times a week for the ones who aren’t mathematically inclined.

Of course, I was referring to Butch Jones above. It turns out he didn’t know anything about football and made the wrong decisions on and off the field.

If you don’t like football or if you don’t want to get better at football, Pruitt doesn’t want you playing for the Vols.

I’m willing to bet the new game would have the ” hustle” rating paired with “play knowledge” or something along those lines. Is there any question that guys Pruitt brought in are going to be rated higher in those categories?

We saw Butch Jones’ coached teams throw in the towel more times than once. In Year One of Pruitt, you could the players cared. They wanted to win. They wanted to give their all for Tennessee.

Coaches can teach a lot of things but hustle and want to isn’t some of them. The Vols roster is shaking out to have a bunch of guys that have the want to factor.
