Jauan Jennings didn’t miss any of the 2018 season. But that 2017 season-ending injury and then a subsequent injury to keep him out of spring ball in 2018 is still concerning, and his value moves him higher on the list. His leadership and intangibles can’t be matched by anybody on Rocky Top.

Tennessee football has a great collection of wide receivers in Jennings, Josh Palmer, Marquez Callaway and, if needed, Brandon Johnson. However, there’s no debate who the go-to guy is in pressure situations. Jennings is that guy.

He’s been the big-play receiver for the Vols dating back to 2015, when he first converted from quarterback to that position. The 2016 season, even with Josh Malone being the top guy, saw Jennings as being the main game-changer. He obviously caught the go-ahead touchdown against the Florida Gators and the game-winning Hail Mary against the Georgia Bulldogs.

Last year, Jennings did it again once he got healthier, most notably catching the go-ahead touchdown pass in their win over the Auburn Tigers. As a result, his risk of suffering a season-ending injury is a big concern for Rocky Top, and it’s enough for us to put him in the top 5 as a injury concern.
