Two new Tennessee football players have arrived on campus recently in Darnell Wright and Henry To’oto’o. Both guys should have opportunities to play early next season.

Two of Tennessee football’s newcomers are finally on campus and ready to get to work. Five-star offensive tackle Darnell Wright and four-star linebacker Henry To’oto’o arrive on campus to start summer workouts.

Wright is not just one of the best offensive linemen in the 2019 recruiting class but one of the best players. According to the 247Sports Composite rankings the 6-foot-6, 320 pounder was ranked as the No. 10 overall prospect in the nation, No. 2 offensive tackle, and No. 1 player from West Virginia.

The offensive line has been shaky to put it kindly in recent years. Wright brings an aggressive style of play and moves well for his size. While fellow five-star signee, Wanya Morris is set to start on the left side of the line, Wright is capable of playing that position. He’s an exceptional run blocker which is something Tennessee has lacked in the past.

Four-star linebacker Henry To’oto’o was the other player to make it to Rocky Top this week. The 6-foot-2, 230 pounder had offers from Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and many more.

To’oto’o is an athletic linebacker who will inevitably put on a few pounds before the season gets underway. He is very fast but also packs the power to play on the SEC level. To’oto’o is excellent in pass coverage but even better blitzing the quarterback.

Pair him with Darrell Taylor, who according to pro football focus is one of the best returning SEC edge defenders, and the pass rush looks scary for opposing offenses.

We will see if either Wright or To’oto’o can make a difference in the lineup next season. My bet is they come in and push other guys to be better and at worse helps with depth.
